What does it mean for you?
Many parents say that sharing their story out loud can bring relief. It can be heavy, but also healing. By speaking with a 'Luisterend Schrijver' (Listening Writer), you take back control over your recovery. It can help if you’re looking for recognition and want to move forward with your life. Your story may also support you in receiving additional compensation.
Why is March 31 important?
You may be eligible for additional compensation:

You submit an application for additional compensation on the government website.
You indicate that you want to do this through Stichting (Gelijk)waardig Herstel.
You will receive an email to create your account with Stichting (Gelijk)waardig Herstel.
It is important that you complete step 1 no later than March 31, 2026. The rest can be done later.

How it works

This person is a volunteer, independent, and takes the time to truly listen to you. We do our best to find someone who feels like a good fit.
You share your story with the 'Luisterend Schrijver'
Together, you go through all events, memories, and emotions: who you were before everything began, where you are now, and where you want to go. We call this story your 'Feitenrelaas' (Statement of Facts).
If you wish, your 'Feitenrelaas' can be submitted to an independent Claims Analyst of SGH
Based on your 'Feitenrelaas', we will calculate the compensation. If you agree with that amount, you will sign an agreement with the government. It is also possible that you are not entitled to additional compensation.
